The library is operated by a group consisting of approximately fifty volunteers and junior volunteers. It is thanks to our volunteers that the library thrives. The library is always looking for individuals to volunteer. If you would like to help us provide a valuable service to the community, you may fill out a form obtainable at the front desk.
The library is also currently seeking volunteers to perform various maintenance tasks around the library. If you are interested, please contact the library
Junior Volunteers: The junior volunteers (JVs) are a group of young readers, age twelve to seventeen, who volunteer their time to assist the senior volunteers during their library shifts. JVs help check out books, straighten shelves, move books, and assist with use of the computers.
JVs must also live in the Pen Argyl Area School District. JVs commit a minimum of four hours per month to volunteering at the library. JVs who are unable to commit four hours per month should discuss this with the library manager. If you would like to join the junior volunteers, you may fill out a form obtainable at the front desk.
